Speaking of Statues....

The post in the mildly interesting thread got me thinking.
I had a school friend who since became a sculptor. I was totally unaware of this until I ran into him via Facebook.
Here's two he did, of heroes from my hometown of Preston:
This is Tom Finney, a Preston footballer. The statue was taken from a famous photograph...
The second one may need less explanation...

It's in the center of town in Preston.
Fun fact - Tom Finney, the footballer, installed my parent's hot water system back in the 1980's - well, his plumbing company did. He came to the house to inspect it, and apparently take the cheque. Sadly, I was not there when it happened.
