At the university, there was probably no lower form of life than the intern on the vascular service. Sick patients, long procedures, a TON of scut work to do, and consultants to corral.
The chief of the service, let's call him Jimmy, was a Hong Kong born, Cook County trained guy who brooked no BS from ANYONE.
One time, an intern had the temerity to say, "Dr. XXX, I don't think I'm learning enough on this service.
(insert thick, thick Chinese accent here)
Jim: "You worthless piece of shit. You not here to learn, you here to work."
