Canada accuses India of an assassination on its soil, leading both countries to expel diplomats
.
India rejected as “absurd” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s allegation that its agents were behind the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Sikh separatist leader in Canada. Both nations have expelled one of each other's diplomats.

Wild if true - that India would assassinate a citizen of a G7 country. Canada has to produce some really solid evidence here.
Fun fact - the assassinated dude was a plumber in my old stomping grounds. He did a few houses of people in my family and I'd met him.

I would think they have what they at least think is conclusive evidence before they would take that step. Perhaps I'm naive, but I would not think the most populous nation in the world would consider one individual, especially a citizen of another country, that dangerous.

@Mik That's part of the craziness - the guy is essentially a nobody with no real influence on India.
Was the target not part of the same Sikh Temple in Surrey with which the Air India bombers were associated or provided some cover, in the 1980s?
Canada has become something of s muggins with regard to foreign interference and activities. We have a highly competent internal intelligence gathering means in this country with CSIS, CSEC and even the RCMP. What do not have and haven’t had for the past twenty years, are politicians and their respective staff who listen to and act upon the intelligence the agencies provide them.
