The Steelers, Bengals, and Saints all have remarkably similar keys to win their games…

    1. Score more points than the opponents
    2. Don’t let the opponents score more points than you.
    3. Fans should drink a copious yet responsible amount of beer
      4&5) Who cares! Have fun!

But, on that note (and I'm not sure why their jerseys are blue..)

Probably because after paying Burrow, they won’t be in the black for 10 years…

Seriously? That’s problematic. Finley has chosen to support his Momma’s team and root against Daddy’s… He’s learned to recognize them by the colors. This will cause him confusion.

The wisdom of children is always endearing. Who Dey, Finley!

They range from the statistically insignificant to the blindingly obvious.

The Steelers are 43-16-2 (.705) when holding opponents to an ANY/A (Adjusted Net Yard per Attempt) of under 7.00. With that noted, Brock Purdy has not had an ANYA/A under 7.00 in his 5 regular season starts. That said, the 49ers were 2-4 in games last season where they registered under 7.00 ANY/A.

The Steelers, on the other hand, were 6-8 in games their offense registered an ANY/A under 7.00. The upshot here is the Steelers chances of success increase drastically if they hold the Niners to an ANY/A of under 7.00.”

Okay, even ignoring how poorly his point was expressed, it’s statistical nonsense. The first stat states Pit loses 25% of the time even when holding an opponent to under 7 yards. That is NOT statistically insignificant. Many teams utilize the West Coast Offense to great success, getting 5-6 yards per catch. An ANY/A of 6.00 with a 70% completion rate likely means that offense wins the game handily..There are too many other variables that make this stat by itself useless.

To the other extreme, there’s the overly simplistic.

                1. Tackle the catch

Really? I thought maybe they should just let them run with the ball… Beyond that, I don’t care if you tackle the catch every time at 5 yards. If they throw it 40 times and complete 30, they are likely going to win the game. Especially if they run for over 150 yards…

Drew Brees' winning percentage his last three years was 73%.

Brees couldn't have thrown a 25 yard seam pass, if you had poked him with a cattle prod. It was dink-a-rama.
