Fucker's not going to put me at risk out of his own stupidity. I'd have tried hard to be nice and not get all Denis Leary on his ass, and I think I'd have about a 70% chance of succeeding.

I went downstairs to get the mail this afternoon. Hearing the elevator "ding" I got on, thinking it was going down, but instead it was going up. Figuring, what the hell, I got on and rode up with a nice lady who apologized for not having a mask with her (I was wearing one). She dutifully pulled her t-shirt up over her face and covered it as we rode up to the 4th floor.

Sounds hot. Did you see any skin?

Nah. And if I had, it would have resulted in my pulling my mask over my eyes.

I wouldn't get on an elevator right now.

But in general I've removed myself from such situations rather than confront people.

In the beginning of all this when people passed really closely on the trail I would cough right when they were passing me. Not aggressively or on them, just a loud cough. Hoping to get them to think

Same. I've mapped out a running route that allows me to see who's coming, there's very little chance of anyone coming up from behind me, and if I do see someone ahead of me I have plenty of outs. Which I use, a lot more frequently than I would like.

              Please love yourself.

Because there's no way to get to the mail room without going outside, and my delicate nature doesn't tolerate the heat.

ETA: I also had some recycling to put into the dumpster on the 1st floor. THere's no access from outside.

ETA (again): When I go to the garage (two stories) I walk. When I leave the garage, I take the stairs. When I leave the building for any other reason, I take the stairs.

ETA (again): When I park, in the basement, I take the stairs upstairs.

Too complicated, if you ask me.

                          In an elevator?

I would have asked him very nicely if he was going to wear the mask like that. If he said yes, I would reply "Okay, thank you", and walked out of the elevator.

Not a bad suggestion! It shows my displeasure, but doesn't inconvenience him at all. I'd catch the elevator next trip.
