Vivek Ramaswamy was the only candidate in the poll to be defeated in a hypothetical matchup against Biden, with the president winning 46 percent to 45 percent.
Ramaswamy fading fast.

The debate killed him, and his policies sealed the deal.

Matt Yglesias had an interesting take. In a contest like this when the front runner status is large and sustained political reporters get bored - how often can you write the story ‘Trump still leading the pack?’ So when one candidate shows even a slight bump, they all rush to write about him/her, which helps generate more buzz and more bump. But it fades.
This happened with DeSantis to an extent (though he had far more built-in expectations behind him), and Vivek a lot.
On the Dem side it was with RFK. He is now down to 8-9% in the polls, from 25 or whatever.
