      Putting on Ax hat

If the police dont like it, they can open up their own bakery and allow wearing of guns by customers!

(BTW, the article I read was that the store did not allow guns inside, so it was not a uniform issue, but a gun issue)

Criminals love doing things in places where cops aren't. And by the way, anything ever happens to that bakery, you think the police are going to do much other than laugh?

This isn't about baked goods options for uniformed police.

        Please love yourself.

The tweet @George-K posted is from the Police Officers Association, a police union and advocacy group, not the police department.

The article does quite the business clarifying that its policy is about guns, not about uniform.

To Aqua's point, quoting from the article:

The San Francisco Police Department said in an emailed statement Friday that "while businesses have the right, within the constraints of the law, to decide who they will and will not serve, the San Francisco Police Department remains steadfast in its commitment to meeting the public safety needs of ALL residents, businesses and visitors to our city no matter who they are."

Supposedly that's the department's policy. Whether all police officers adhere to that policy all the time is a different matter.

The policy states that officers are welcome as long as they are off duty and not armed.

"If we're just nice to everyone, everyone will be nice to us.".

That situation does not exist anywhere in nature. There are always predators and prey.
