There's a part of the "look" that you can customize to your individual taste. Click on your icon and then "Edit Settings". For instance, you can select a "dark" skin there.
Then there's another part that is part of the structure everyone sees. Everything can be changed., but it would need to be such that most people like it.
Maybe you could say what it is you'd like to change?
