Talked with an Electrophysiologist today. Frustrated beyond belief.
The staff shortage in the hospital is bad enough, but what really burned his toast, was the lack of anesthesiology support. He has had to put some patient procedures off as long as four months, because he couldn't get a gas passer.
Four months.
As it is, the docs are having to be uber flexible, just to grab an OR for a procedure that must be done. Must.

Thoughts on why not? It seems to me that the lab work and biology background for a CAA would be more suitable than the 3 years changing bedpans for a CRNA…
