D1 and I took a ride on a Ford Trimotor back in 1997. The seats were not dissimilar - basically just office chairs bolted to the floor.

George, do you remember what it was like?
I read that they vibrated hard due to the engine attached to the fuselage and that it was so loud it was hard to hear. Looking at the Harley landing gear, I would imagine some landings were pretty hard. Cool that you were able to take a ride in one!

Re: fluent English - quite interesting. Most make sense, but I was a bit surprised by the Canada number. I did not realize that there were that many French speakers that did not know English. Though I have to say when I visited Quebec City, I did come across a few of them. LOL (But they all were very kind and friendly)

I think there are probably more recent immigrants that don’t speak English than québécois.

Probably some First Nations folks too.

Thanks, Jon. I couldn't help it, I went on GoogleEarth Street View and enjoyed driving and looking around. There is something weird about it. All properties about the same size, all seem to have their own land also the same size, for farming. I wonder if this is a Commie-like result, but the homes seem to reflect the individuality of the homeowner. Someone should find a way to translate text from pictures, it would be interesting to read the signs and postings while driving along in street view.

Nobody gives driving directions in Boston by saying the compass direction - North, South, East, West. The streets just don't work that way. Visitors are easily confused.
