Rogan drinks a bud light on air

The Bud Light story is fascinating to me. We’re 5 months into it and the losses are still at 26% year over year and this is a year where the industry itself is experiencing a 6% increase, so the losses are really even deeper. And after 5 months, the consumer habits have changed. The guys that were in the habit of getting a bud light are now in the habit of getting something else. Time doesn’t fix this…And it’s likely going to get worse as they are about to lose preferred placement on the shelves and the taps going into Labor Day. In addition, their competition is flush with extra cash right now from their + 20% gains, which can be invested into new marketing campaigns.
The other interesting part of this is the Target boycott that went nowhere. My bet is it’s about the core consumer… Which makes this Harry’s thing interesting to watch.

Good for him.
Why "good for him"?
Because he's not immediately turning everybody who may not agree with him into the enemy. He's actually trying to acknowledge that just calling people freaks and weirdos isn't a particularly helpful response and some attempt to understand others might be a good idea.

Like people who didn’t want to take the vaccine, because of a very strong principle of personal autonomy, or people who voted for an orange existential threat. These are the situations in which one must walk the walk of acceptance. But people mostly fail when they are called upon to put something behind their virtue signaling.

The people making noise online, claiming to be oppressed members of the trans community are not part of the trans community. Those people want nothing more than to lead normal lives without anxiety or frustration—that is the entire point behind their transitioning. They're trying to fix a problem they see in themselves.
The crazy militant fucks online are broken narcissists who are using the trans community as an outlet to justify their sociopathy. They're trying to fix a problem they see in you. The two groups couldn't possibly be more different.
The former group just want to be left alone and do what they do.
The latter group will be as destructive as we let them be. There's no bottom.
The problem is, leftist morons throughout the country are acting as useful idiots by taking the sociopaths' word for it that they're for equality and inclusion. They just want the world to be happy and better by cancelling dissenters, making death threats, refusing any discussion that doesn't end with complete capitulation and demanding you not only support everything they do, but that you place themselves on a higher social pedestal than yourself.
And so yes of course, right-wing morons who also conflate the two groups respond in kind to the online bullying, the force-fed fucked up ideology and the left's complete support of online narcissists leveraging fake oppression. They push back.
This isn't just a simple matter of the right hating on Teh Tranz.
And a little back story on Dylan Mulvaney. She was an actor who found herself out of work during the pandemic. She tried a few avenues of employment and attention which didn't pan out. Then she went on TikTok and claimed to be a trans woman oppressed by her conservative family. That narrative has given an actor a following that presidents of developed countries couldn't possibly hope for. As a white male, she couldn't find work, but as a trans activist, Hollywood is literally kowtowing to her. Forgive me for being skeptical about her motivations here.

If you pay close attention to Mulvaney's antics, you can get a vague sense that she might just be loving the attention.

There should be like a JK Rowling Twitter highlight reel for misunderstandings like this.

Clean up the vulgarities and throw in a few fifty-cent words and that sounds Jordan-esque...

Maybe it does but it's what's happening.

I could certainly be wrong of course. But writing off a reaction that spans an entire country—and goes against the best interests of everyone involved—shouldn't be written off as "those mean old rednecks." That's stupid.

So is writing off anybody within the alphabet community as a freak and a weirdo.
Sure, it may be intended to attack the online extremist types, but there's plenty of run-of-the-mill folk being impacted by these attitudes.

Absolutely. That's exactly why it's so damaging to overlook the opportunistic sociopaths who are ginning this up. It's the actual trans community who gets hurt the most because they get implicated in all this. If you actually care about that, a much more effective target for condemnation would be the sociopaths.
They're causing this.
I mean game it through. Do you actually think this whole thing is about hating alphabet people? Are there really enough alphabet-hating people in America who hate them so much that they'd boycott a product they love and cause a 30-percent operating profit loss for Bud Light? That's absolutely ridiculous. This is about nihilistic fucks running amok and the left treating them like queens. If it was about transgendered people there wouldn't be enough activity to make the local news.

From several things I've read and a few gay folks I've talked to...Many in the homosexual community are not very happy with the trans mania.
Does that make them bigoted, too?
Shit the people I hear complaining about it the most are the actually trans people.

Well, it's important to understand that rank and file indoctrinated lefties (or to their own framing, centrists) do believe the country is chock full of Trump voters who hate minorities of all types. I'm not making that up, go check out WTF sometime when the subject turns to American culture. That's just a random cross section of mainstream white folk.
-
It gets back to the well known study of how well various groups of people understand, and are able to predict, the attitudes of other groups. Educated white people are the most disconnected from reality of everybody. They believe they are islands of goodness in a sea of American hatred. Which makes sense, as they are surrounded almost entirely by people in their own tribe, and it feels good to believe one is more virtuous than everybody else.

Are you suggesting those people are something other than queens?

I would indeed suggest they're "something else."
