Cop shoots at dog, misses. Shoots woman instead.

Arkansas woman calls 911. Officer sees her Pomeranian, is apparently terrified of the mighty beast. He shoots at the dog and misses, shooting the woman in the leg. He then tries to tell her the bullet hole in her leg is probably a scratch from the dog.
Down, Cujo. DOWN!

Wife has a first cousin that desired a career in law enforcement and got a job as a sheriff's deputy. He was trying to serve a warrant and went to the wrong address.
Opening the gate and walking into the yard, he was scared by a barking dog. He's scared of dogs. Any dog.
IIRC, it was a beagle he shot and killed. In an election year for the sheriff.
He has a tow truck business now...
