I've always loved Sokolov's interpretation of this, but this is fun.
If for nothing else, the cinematography is ... engaging.

Too slow for my liking. In my mind, Precipitato needs to be fast enough to generate the excitement.
Maurizio Pollini’s performance is close to what I think is the ideal tempo for this piece:

Sokolov's performance has been criticized for being "too slow." I still like it because of the "ponderousness" he portrays.
