Yeah. This was just outside of Richmond.

Ashland? I would have figured you would drive up 301…

Well, "outside of Richmond" on the national scale. We were actually on 17 north. Close to West Point.

17 is the better drive, but those pics looked like 95N just south of Doswell.

            Okay, rabbit hole.

Hey Jolly, is Cajun unaccentual? Like, does it sound like a monotone, or are there stressed and unstressed syllables like in English?

I know nothing about Cajun or Zachary Richard because unfortunately I'm ignorant like that, but I see he's pretty freaking important when it comes to Cajun as a written language. Only because I've not heard it much myself, I don't know if I'm "reading" Richard's stuff properly.

            Please love yourself.

Cajun is just French that's morphed a bit. Same grammar rules apply and most pronunciations are the same.

Mik probably speaks as much of it as I do. I think he used to have a sleeping dictionary. 😉

                OK, AITAH here?

That video - nice production values with a short-form story told well. Fun nod to "Shawshank Redemption" in a couple of shots.

                The tune.

                The verse:

                • First line - five notes with the last note ascending.
                • Second line - same 5 notes, with the last note descending.
                • Repeat three times

                The chorus:

                • Take second line from verse, repeat 4 times.

"Laisse le vent souffler" was said at least 20 times in 3 ½ minutes.

Sorry, but, though well-shot and well performed, the song is boring and repetitive.

One good hook is all it takes to make a song fun.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Never a huge fan myself, just pointing out that vibes can trump lyrical shortcomings.

                                Please love yourself.
