I want to see these tax perp companies’ agreements with Meta, see how much money they get from Meta for their users’ financial information.

The IRS has for a long time wanted to build their own free tax return filing website to accommodate those with simple taxes, but some congress critters have always stood in the way. So I blame these Congress critters too.

I would like to see those agreements too, and I 'd love to see a free national filing system.

Contrary to popular perception, IRS websites, government websites in general really, have gotten much better in recent years.

I read somewhere how much money the tax prepare companies spend on donations and lobbying to stop this from happening.
