This thing I often see comparing the size of the virus to the size of mask pores seemed absurd. I don’t think the virus floats around the air as a molecule. It’s in some globule of water and it’s the size of that globule that matters. I imagine masks catch those with some reliability.

Doctor Gold was also highly critical of the lockdown, which really ought to be considered independently of the mask issue, since the complaints were primarily about the health effects it was having.

Unless it’s an N-95, the purpose of a mask is not to prevent you from breathing in the virus, it’s to keep you from breathing it out...Even then it’s not going to keep it all in, but it will drastically shorten the range.
