    Just planted it. Got an LED grow light to suplement the natural light in this somewhat shady location. We will see!

    Rosemary, cilantro, Italian parsley, thyme, oregano, sweet basil and Thai basil.

    Going to build a stand for the light which should take next to nothing.

      @Mik

      Awesome! We are thinking about doing this.

      Also have a 1,400 sqft patio we are planning on using for a raised garden / green house.

            That does look great.

            If I may add a suggestion (or even if I mayn't; screw you) I have successfully grown alfalfa, mung and a couple of others, sprouts. Very easy to do.

              Thanks to @Jolly I tried a "square foot garden". Worked really well.

              @Mik I think you mentioned you had (or were thinking of) an Aerogarden. I was thinking of one, but don't know if it is worth it. Seems a bit expensive, but maybe they are good?

                TG, my daughter has one and it works really well. Grows great herbs. I just wasn’t willing to put that much money into a small production system.

                  Forgot to add in my note on sprouting seeds: They produce really fast, and IIRC you can sprout them all year long. Indoors, that is.

                    Herb garden doing really well. Lots of new growth. The cilantro, rosemary and oregano particularly are producing a lot of new growth. I'll trim back the Thai basil tomorrow to make margherita pizzas.

                    Not sure it shows so much between the pics, but I can see it.
