How quickly can Jeremy put out a light beer?

Modelo Especial is the #2 beer in the US?
I never would have guessed.
Unless Corona (also a Grupo Modelo brand) is included in those numbers. Still a bit of a surprise.

Modelo Especial isn’t #2 anymore… At least over the last 4 weeks… It will take a few more months at current sales to take over for the year…

@Mik define long time.
The majority of distributors seem to think at least 6 more months…

I think it will be around longer than that. To what degree is hard to say.

Six months means shelf space realignment.

Very likely they're not going to turn it around in time.

For you beer drinkers here, is there really a taste difference between Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light?
Or is the difference in popularity mainly because of marketing?

If I’m going to drink a light beer it is Miller Lite. It’s a more robust flavor than the other two. Still piss water. I tried some of those lite IPA’s and wanted to like them but ultimately went back to whisky.

The fall shelf allocations are based on Memorial Day through 4th of July. They are already screwed.

Let me rephrase… Don’t forget that 25-30% off of Bud Light sales is still second only to Modello Especial. They are still outselling Coors Light and Miller Lite. It’s possible that the shelf realignment hurts them even more, but this won’t kill Bud Light as a brand, and AN is still picking up some of the lost revenue in increased Busch Lite Sales, and Michelin Ultra will bounce back. The breweries will take something of a hit, Bud Light won’t occupy the same space, AB will be a lot more cautious about dipping their toes in other markets and we will move on.
Frankly, it’s probably a good time to consider buying AB-In Bev

There is a difference in flavor. There is also a difference in carbs. AFAIK, the king of low carb:
In a pony-sized bottle, 55 calories & 1.5 carbs.

Probably not a great choice if you want to put the people who make Bud Light out of business.

Wasn't talking about that. She was talking about taste or what drives the popularity of a lite beer.

I know, it just struck me as slightly funny. I wonder if anybody will give up Bud Light as a protest, only to switch to a different beer made by the same company

They have. Never underestimate the ignorance or stupidity of the masses.
Busch Lite is actually up 7%. It’s right in the freaking name…
