There seems to be a lot of controversy over Cohn's article.
Most of is centers around which millennials you're talking about - older vs younger.

Are they really becoming more conservative, or are they concerned about the progressive overreach and the burgeoning debt? I don't think you have to be labeled conservative to see these very bad things. More like common sense.

Liberals clearly haven't been responsible for all the debt, by any means. The Bush administrations' military adventures were enormously expensive. Back then we were told that deficits don't matter, which seems to me the opposite of common sense, but apparently Karl Rove is a genius.
And as we all know, it's a lot easier for to advocate cutting debt when you're not in power.
