Maybe I missed it, but I didn't hear this on the news...

All signees are retired, of course. Retribution proof. Watching this DEI madness happen at my own company has been predictable and not surprising, but sad all the same. The masses are such dimwits.

      Education is extremely important.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

My son no longer works for the fruit company, but still maintains his network of friends. In a conversation last week, one of his friends was griping about a job he had filled recently. The company tends to promote within and senior management had told my son's friend he could fill the position with someone he chose, as long as they were female and already working for the company.

This is a real niche part of the company and many skills do not translate, but he hired the best female applicant, even though there were men much better qualified.

My son knew the lady that was hired into the team leader position. She's a great gal. Hardworking, personable and absolutely, utterly clueless about this niche. Classic square peg in a round hole. And business is suffering. She can and will get better. Probably will eventually do okay. But it's going to be a business mess and loss of market share during the learning curve.
