She died about 6 months ago...

Alley died from stage 4 colon cancer, discovered in May 2022 after a doctor’s visit for a sore back. Despite chemotherapy treatments at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, she died at her home in Clearwater on December 5, 2022, at the age of 71.

By the way, it's interesting that her colon cancer presented with a sore back. A colleague of mine had a persistent backache for several months. She was treated for osteoarthritis by an orthopedic surgeon with whom she was friends.

It was renal carcinoma, and she was dead about 3 months after the correct diagnosis.
