So, @blondie , @Renauda , @Doctor-Phibes , how is Camilla perceived in Canada and the UK? @Blondie has already expressed her distaste for her, but how does the rest of the realm feel?

    (Mrs. George can't stand her)

The whole situation is sad, but not really her fault. Had they allowed them to marry to begin with the whole sordid tale would never have happened.

        @George-K

I’m fine with Camilla. Like the late Prince Philip, Camilla knows her station viz a viz the monarch. Am fine too with Charles. He has had plenty of time to learn his role. They both appear to be executing their respective royal duties with dignity and grace.

I think people in the uk are ok with her, at least I’ve not heard much to the contrary.

Personally I think she was a victim of the system as much as anything.

At the risk of being a bore about this, but after being here in person it seems like there’s a lot less enthusiasm for the whole thing than you might think from watching the tv.

          I was only joking

@Renauda I looked at the pics. The Royal kids were very cute. The rest of them though? Charles, Camilla, even William & Kate? … all of them looked like they really wanted-needed a nap.
Something I noticed … with Charles & his famous “sausage fingers” .. I was looking at a pic with his nails & fingers, him signing something .. I fear the fellow has something cardiac advancing, by their shape, the edema, the nail splitting. I don’t think he’s very healthy.

Interesting observations. On the other hand longevity appears to run in the immediate family - the hard living Princess Margaret and chain smoking George VI being the notable exceptions.

All my info comes from “the crown” series.

Having said that, I agree if he had married her instead of Diana a lot of pain would have been avoided. They seem very much in love.

King Charles's swollen fingers trend on coronation day: What do we know about his health?

The occasion of King Charles’s coronation is finally here and interest in the new monarch has never been higher.

However, as his every move is carefully monitored, there’s one thing about the new King that seems to continuously attract attention online: his swollen fingers.

After seeing him pour a pint during a royal engagement in 2021, many fans commented on Twitter asking if all was ok with his hands.

"I've never noticed the hands of Prince Charles until this photo. Is he okay? They are so swollen," one user wrote.

He was also seen with what looked like painfully swollen hands and feet during the first day of his royal tour in India in 2019 when he removed his shoes to step into a Sikh temple in New Delhi.

Charles has even reportedly jokingly referred to his hands as "sausage fingers" when a photo of him after a flight to Australia in 2012 resurfaced and went viral.

They were banned from marrying? I read Camilla had married someone before Charles married Diana. Anyhow, I still liked Diana, and felt she was badly mistreated by Charles in his affair with Camilla during the very beginning of their marriage, and the press wasn't kind to Diana.
