Happy Birthday Aqua!

Happy birthday, you magnificent bastard!
-
Thanks, everybody. I think it's pretty lucky of us (no I'm not using the P word, fuck off) that TN(N)CR is pandemic-immune. Been good talking with everybody so far this year. Hope we keep it up.

Aqua, you are definitely a asset to this board (and to life in general)!
Have a great birthday!!!!
(something I have been wondering about since you have joined - where is your profile name from?)

Thanks very much, TG! That's mighty kind.
When I started on the board, I had an entirely different career as an environmental scientist. (It blows my mind we've been on this board for that long and I'm still a newcomer! Nutters. At least I'm not as old as jon.) My dad taught astronomy, so I grew up as a science geek anyway. I like reading about old alchemical practices--it's like half science, half weird occult shit. A lot of modern chemical compounds were known by alchemists, but they called them something different. Nitric acid was called "aqua fortis," or "strong water." "Aqua regis" ("royal water") was an acid mixture that can dissolve gold and platinum.
I like booze because who doesn't, so I figured a good alchemical name for it might be "aqua letifer" or "deadly water," because ethanol is an antiseptic.

Thanks, Aqua. I've wondered about that, too.

Just remember that age (like beauty) is in the eye of the beholder.

Happy birthday, man!

Happy birthday for sure. Tell us about your birthday exploits.
Thanks, everybody!
Not much to report here in reality, but in Neverwinter we tracked down some vampires, I killed a brewery foreman with a combination of harsh words and a lightning bolt to the chest, and then we took some ale barrels for compensation before the building caught fire.
Also played a lot with the kiddo. She has a very large, very fuzzy d20 to play with now. Mostly she uses it as a stool.
