*Thump!* on the window ...

Thump! A bluejay flew into my window and knocked itself out for a bit.
First I saw the bluejay laying on its back, with very slight, occasional twitches with one of its feet.
By the time I grabbed my phone/camera and went outside to check on it, it flipped itself back onto its feet.

My heart always stops a bit when we get birds flying into our windows, which is often. Usually they are fine and just stunned but every now and the we lose one. Glad yours is OK.

I saw one fly into a sliding glass patio door a couple days ago. It concussed itself pretty bad but after about an hour on the ground it was able to unsteadily fly away. Glad yours is ok too Ax.

It only happens rarely at my place. Maybe it's because all my windows have grills, that makes it less likely for birds to think that the windows are wide open. :man-shrugging:
