I followed these guys for The Great War. They are using the same week-by-week format for WW2, along with a multitude of one-offs...highly recommended.

There was kind of a famous movie the recreated the last days of Hitler. Cannot remember the name of it right now. I thought it was very good. Showed the atmosphere and paranoid that was present among the people.
