You spent a lot of time seeking my approval before turning on a dime and deciding I was the enemy.
I’m sure everyone here noticed it. Many have commented.
I'm not even sure what that means. I guess there's some people here who would vote for you over me. I'm not sure it's the majority, and actually I think it would be depressing to put it to the test. I personally would find it to be too highly correlated with IQ.

It's not a question of voting and taking sides, someone could think you're the cat's meow and still have noticed your change toward me. Or vice-versa.

My change towards you might have mirrored your disgust reflex towards my parents.

I've never made a single comment about them other than wishing them well when your dad got covid.
I also bet they're a lot like my parents were - midwestern, conservative, and middle class.

It was the class you elucidated as the haters. The haters of people like you.
You pursue the top. You are uncomfortable being somewhere other than the top. It's a feedback loop. And it's not possible that social factors are not at play.
My father went to his bed not caring about whether he was at the top. It's actually not important, except for the people who think it's important.

@Horace It seems unlikely, which is why I thought Disney would just take this to court earlier.
But it's not a trivial resemblance - what you describe is true of any and all politicians. What these two have in common is they both like to use state power to punish private entities they don't like, and have proposed permanent structures where they would have continuous leverage over such entities, in order to keep them in line in an ongoing manner. The only differences are the companies and the definitions of 'in line'.
THat's not something you can say about every politician.

“Look, this has gone from kind of going after a headline to something that has devolved into an issue, and it convolutes the entire Republican message,” Sununu said on CNN on Monday night. “I just don’t think — it’s not good for Governor DeSantis. I don’t think it’s good for the Republican party.”
Sounds about right.

Oh, God, he's saying the same thing as I did. Now I'm concerned.
Anyway, I'm off to the beach!
