Up here the men go to Tech school or into trades. They prefer studying or working towards a ticket that will pay.

And those that go to college probably don't have degrees in any field that ends in "studies," right?

Right but with one caveat. That being Strategic Studies or, as we called it in grad school, Bombs and Rockets. Only a select few universities offer degree programmes in it up here.
