Brooks points that out. But he neglects to mention that eventually, the Bluebirds create an inner city Hell of their own making.

There are places in Austin or Houston you do not want to walk or even drive through after dark.

Yes, urbanization is basically an unbroken 500 year secular phenomenon, with a dramatic uptick when we harnessed hydrocarbons. So yeah, net migration is always to blue areas.
