I don’t understand the tempest in the teapot here. From what I can tell the shooter was just a low-life. Doesn’t matter whether he was black, white, aboriginal or Asian or an alien species.

Low-lifes happen in all cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. A complicated issue that is continually trivialized by generalizations from the left, centre and right.

I don’t know if there’s a common denominator defining low-life violence. Culture? Poverty? Pathology? Ignorance? Stupidity? Fear?

It's true that low-lifes exist across the spectrum. But what is also true - and we've talked about it a good bit - is the epidemic of violence in the American black community.

Yes, it doesn't matter. But the prevalence of violent crime among certain populations is far, far greater than in others.
