Rather see it in America, but India is vastly preferable to China.

India had a 65% increase in the number of iPhone made last year and that rate of increase is expected to be quite large this year also.

American children's hands are probably too chunky.

          Awesome.

          Only non-witches get due process.

Should have been investing there all along, but we naively thought China would be seduced by capitalism.

Many of the US and European companies I work with seem to be looking for alternatives to China - Vietnam, India, Malaysia etc.

I've found that working directly with Chinese companies can be quite challenging, although it's probably easier than it was say 15-20 years ago.

Been a PITA for my BIL. He's been trying to coordinate shipments of chemicals and specialty products like biocides and genetically engineered bacteria to papermills around the world.

Since most of the basic chemicals come from China now, he's been like a one-armed paper hanger the last couple of years, changing or tweaking processes for customers because of supply chain nightmares.

Might be nice to make more basic stuff in India, along with tech.

I hope Indian iPhones aren't difficult to understand.

Would he increase manpower to deal with the added complications and attendant workload?

Doubt it. They're currently undergoing a buy-out or merger (I'm not sure which one), so hiring folks is on hold.

Perhaps a temporary “contractor” then. Best of luck to your BIL.

Surprising that Apple Inc. does not already have Apple Stores there.
