Five F'in Paragraphs
-
I rarely read anything in the NYT, but my Google feed had an article on the LSU championship.
Now, I remember why I don't read the Slimes.
In an otherwise decent article on the Lady Tigers win, five paragraphs suddenly appear on Griner, the strong black lesbian woman.
Now, WTF does Griner have to do with this game? Nothing. Not a damn thing. Yes, she played for Mulkey over a decade ago, but that has no bearing on this game. It was just gratuitous
flag waving moment.
Piss poor journalism.

But c'mon, man! Five paragaphs on something the woman had nothing to do with?
Not to mention DOCTOR Biden (they addressed her as such x3 during the cutaways on ABC) had Billie Jean King as her special guest.
Messaging, much?

Well, yeah.
Those who can most effectively stimulate the lizard part of our brains win the Clickbait Games. Those who don't lay off their staff.
Woke stories drive the feels, positive and negative. Those five paragraphs you hate so much paid for the rest of the coverage.
It's disgusting and it's the way of the world.
