    I also think the blue migration is going to be interesting. Do states turn purple or are the immigrants primarily conservative?

                @kluurs lol

                There’s some truth to that, and it also highlights the self-pitying nature of the fat man.

                    There's a legal term for that; fraudulent preference.

                    Although given Trump’s history, I am confident that he paid all his bills in full to subcontractors with mob affiliations. That too could fall under fraudulent preference .

                    Elbows up!

                      The hell you say, LOL.

                      Barr says Trump should not testify

                      Barr, who served as AG in the Trump administration, was asked by Fox News’ Shannon Bream whether lawyers for the 76-year-old former president should allow him to take the stand in his defense.

                      “Generally, I think it’s a bad idea to go on the stand and I think it’s a particularly bad idea for Trump because he lacks all self-control. And it would be very difficult to prepare him and keep him testifying in a prudent fashion,” Barr said on “Fox News Sunday.”

                      But Barr also said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is abusing the function of prosecutions by “pursuing a person rather than pursuing a real crime” and warned of the fallout of such a politically charged case.

                      “The real danger of this thing over the long term isn’t so much narrowed to Trump,” he said. “It’s now we have thousands of DAs around the country, now that the Rubicon has been crossed, any one of them can find federal candidates or federal office holders and so forth, can find some state law they want to pursue the person on and get themselves into the national political arena.”

                          From the "It Never Rains But It Pours" Department:

                          "The former president's fortune dropped from an estimated $3.2 billion last fall to $2.5 billion today. The biggest reason? His social media business, once hyped to the moon, has come crashing down, erasing $550 million from his net worth—so far.
                          Truth Social, which Trump announced in October 2021 as he sought vengeance for Twitter booting him off its platform in the wake of the January 6 insurrection, had the potential to boost Trump’s fortune by billions. At the onset, supporters piled into Truth Social’s special purpose acquisition company, stoking shares so that the business appeared to be worth $22 billion at its peak.

                          But the hype never lined up with reality. Today, shares are trading at a level that suggests it’s worth $1.2 billion, but that still seems high due to the fundamental problem that barely anyone uses the app."

                          Poor Donnie.

                            It could have been worse - he could have bought Twitter. Except he wasn't rich enough, obviously.

                                  Have they spent any significant time in red states such that they may have committed a crime there?

                                  Given the geographic sorting - nationally prominent politicians tend to be from states of their own ‘color’ - this type of thing might not be as repeatable as we fear.
