What she didn't tell you is that the brown stuff is actually pickled sparrow. Obviously, they're not going to let on to some Italian bird.
I lived in Worcester for a short time. We used to visit the water treatment plants to test out our transducers. The liquid was pretty much that colour. I'm sure it's a coincidence.
