Damn straight, though I would point more towards a potato chip and peanut butter sandwich
Hmmm. There's a thought.
Mrs. George has been known to make a cream cheese potato chip sammich.
On white bread, of course.
She was born in Cicero, IL, so there's that.

When I was a kid, my friend's mother used to make us a 'chip butty', which is a French fry sandwich, with white bread.

Phibes and I both stem from Wales.
When I was a kid, my father, a Welshman, made us french fry sandwiches -- hot french fries on buttered bread with honey.
I thought it was the treat of the ages.

How very dare you!
I've lived in Wales for my sins. I am most definitely not "from" there.
'Butty' is Lancashire slang for 'sandwich'. It's also possibly how a Welshman might refer to a particularly attractive sheep.

When I was an intern, our service had a nephrologist on staff who was known to eat interns for breakfast. He was uncompromising, strict and unforgiving. He was also a good doc.
Anyhow, if you presented a case on morning rounds and you say that you "deferred" the rectal exam, he would scream at you: "YOU CALL YOURSELF A DOCTOR AND YOU DIDN'T PUT YOUR FINGER UP THERE????"
