    This is the picture I took early in the morning our last day there, in Tulum. The hotels organized guys with heavy equipment to clear it out every morning. The next morning it would look like this (and really start accumulating again from the minute they were done). I took this picture before they were out cleaning.

      This was our first morning there, after the cleaning. You can see they do a good job. But you see tire tracks everywhere from the tractors.

      Compare the two pictures - that’s a lot in 24 hours.

      (We were there Xmas 2018, so the boy was 9. )

        We always had a fresh batch of seaweed every morning on Mission Beach. It was nowhere near that amount, but it was there. lots of bulbous kelp too.

            My apartment building was 3239 Mission Blvd. We called it The Caves. It was a box carved up into 12 caves studio apartments. The sole redeeming quality was an enormous shower. $230 a month. Now I guess they are condos selling for $627K - 500 sq ft.

                It’s a few blocks south of where you were.

                    The women there were so beautiful and so available. Dumber than a box of rocks for the most part, but just short term anyway.

                    South Mission Beach is the place to be. Much less busy, nicer places. That VRBO is a steal for the price.

                        @Catseye3

                        In the 1950s there would be a cheesy class B horror movie as a result of a noxious blob such as this one.

                        Elbows up!
