HONG KONG – A Patek Philippe watch owned by the last emperor of China’s Qing dynasty, and worn through his five years as a captive of the Soviets in Siberia, will come to auction later this year. Based on similar sales in the past, it could very easily gavel for a price in the seven figures.

There was a 1986 movie about Puyi directed by Bertolucci entitled The Last Emperor . I remember watching it when it came out and thought at the time it was very well done.

That's a wonderful movie. I had it on video, back when people owned videos.

I remember seeing the trailers when the movie first came out; it looked lavish.
As for the watch, it looks like it could use some cleaning. I wonder if that's intentional.
