Existential threat led by an autocrat right wing troll that apparently the whole country despises huh?

Maybe Bach will weigh in. His insight would be most valuable.
There must be a reason Bennie is back...

The RS piece has all the hallmarks of a leftist media hit job on an elected right wing politician who is sick of them and their control of the culture. The piece used all of the heavy rhetorical weaponry we’ve seen here in America in our culture wars.

There have been some pretty massive protests of late if you look at the world news reports - up to 500,000 people country-wide, if you believe the reports.
I think one poster may possibly have attended?

Bach weighed in on the question of the protests when they first started back in January. I’ll take his word on it before anyone else’s here.

And he was there at the protests at a later date. When in our lifetime lifetime have we seen Israelis take to the street?

Nobody actually holds to a principle of deferring to natives regarding cultural issues. They only pretend to defer when they know a priori they will agree with a given native.
Lefties getting petulant when democracy doesn’t go their way, is the new normal.

I’ve kept quiet about this, because honestly it’s just too complex to even consider summarizing in a forum post.
Needless to say, I think the country is facing its biggest crisis in 75 years no matter what side of the aisle you are on.
Interesting times

ps yes posting less but I’m still around.
Believe it or not I’ve just been too busy to get involved in forum threads. I have a few commitments on my plate right now which are very time demanding. My idle time is taken by-swiping twitter feeds for amusing content because it’s less demanding than interacting with u smart folks.

Wishing you well on those commitments, hoping they are not overly stressful. And yes, struggling to keep up with the powerful intellects in here would only add fuel to the fire, right enough.
Mhmm.

Hope the commitments are good ones. Sometimes you need distraction more than engagement. Take care.
