To answer @Jolly’s question in the thread title, no, men have not stopped dating.

For some recent documented examples, you can see

A bunch of scruffy bastards with weapons hanging on their walls complaining about feminism. OK.

I love the bit where the professional YouTuber says that all these people with purple hair don't understand what hard work really is.

        I was only joking

TBH, I'd never heard of him until today.

You've got to admit, it's a bit much when these people lecture others on hard work. I'm sure podcasting has it pressures, but it's not really a job as such.

Besides our resident messenger assassin, I think this is a common societal discussion right now, with multiple facets.

              I. MGTOW and milder forms of the same. Too many average guys throwing their hands up and saying to hell with it, I'll do without or I'll rent, not buy.
              A. That could be from a bad divorce, where the wife cheated (Peterson says women cheat more than men, FWIW) or where the divorced guy got taken to the financial cleaners
              B. Lack of finances. Women tend to marry up and older. Maybe because of lack of good jobs or lack of education, but a lot of women make more than guys their own age (and even guys older).
              C. Unrealistic expectations, especially in the bedroom. That's porn rot, plain and simple.
II. Internet dating. It's a known fact, over 80% of the women are chasing less than 10% of the guys.
              A. The hot guys know it, and they ain't buying any cows with all the available free milk.
              B. The AI filter phenomenon. What you see on the net, ain't what you get in person.
              III. Women dropping out.
              A. Career driven and averse to any long term relationship. If they need an itch scratched, easy enough to find a one-night stand.
B At a certain point, more comfortable with a book and a cat, than with the dating scene.
              C. Women meeting their social needs through social media.

When men and women don't date, they don't marry, at least in our country. That spells problems for a sustainable, stable society.

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I've never got into these round table discussion things. I just can't sit there watching or listening to a bunch of folk I don't care about bullshitting about stuff for hours. I didn't like it when Howard Stern did it in the pre-internet era, and I still don't like it.

Maybe but I am not aware of such and would need much more convincing that this is even an issue. My friends’ male offspring don’t seem to have this problem with women and any male I have known that had issues with women, had their own personal issues and demons which women, and people in general, found repugnant.

People talking about something on the internet doesn't necessarily make it true. My experience has been much the same as yours.

I think dating has changed, but it certainly still seems to happen.

Now, that's marriage not dating, but I suspect the rates somewhat go hand in hand.

The trend is not by any means, exclusive to the US:

I still do not believe there is an issue of any real concern here.

                              Elbows up!
