“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Should have never been created in the first place.

The DHS was created as a response to 9/11 under G.W. Bush. There was immense pressure that the administration had to “do something.” Still, it was rushed, and a thorough reexamination should take place.

And while they're trashing them, let's kill Education, as long as we're doing away with superfluous departments.

More horseshoe politics. AOC-types talk about abolishing the INS also (part of DHS)

            Only non-witches get due process.

I think you could do away with 10% of Federal employees and not miss a beat. I think most of the necessary functions of DHS, could be folded back into other departments.

As for education, abolish the department and go to block grants. Retain any truly necessary functions and fold into another department.
