4 years for interfering with a presidential election is vindictive? I guess if you consider it a mostly peaceful protest in which the only violence was perpetrated by the Capitol Police.
- The January 6 Committee was nothing but political theater, editing tapes, adding inappropriate sound, etc., and essentially lied to the American people.
Well, yeah, it's Congress.

Yeah, when Kennedy visited Dallas, they rarely show the video of most of the crowd not shooting at him. Biased reporting.
From Day 1, from what I saw there were at least three groups of people - the very motivated to do some hell raising-possibly more, those who thought it would be cool to be where something big was happening, and tourists who saw an opportunity to look around.
While I was horrified at the visuals, I also felt sorry for people who were going to get into a bunch of trouble for what some felt was a patriotic retaking of the democratic process, some saw as a demonstration and some as pure tourism.

Even Tucker, admittedly biased, has never said this was a peaceful meeting of the minds, so I really don't know if you actually heard that or invented it out of whole clot. What has been said, repeatedly, is that Trump told the crowd to protest peacefully.
I also wonder about the total lack of curiosity about whether the government, or assets of the government, helped egg on the crowd and created the riot. Epps has become a classic example...He's now shown to be on tape, but he was not arrested or charged...Primarily because it's common knowledge (but as yet unprovable) that he was a government informant.
Maybe the hate or TDS is so strong within much of the population, they simply do not care about dirty deeds or manipulation or denial of evidence in something they have deemed the worst episode in America since Pearl Harbor. Nobody cares about equal justice under the law, people's rights (after all they're

I'm not interested in playing word games and bad-faith interpretations, he made the outrage worse and that was clearly his intent. Plenty of conservatives who disliked the outcome of the election can clearly see that.

Why should he? It was a political rally, with the express purpose of trying to put pressure on Congress. I think Trump would have been delighted if 200,000 people would have marched on the Capitol, waiving signs and chanting slogans.

Bad argument. He successfully antagonized their outrage, and then the outraged crowd expressed their outrage by attacking Capitol Police officers, breaking into the Capitol and disrupting a presidential election.
That has nothing to do with whether or not it's legal to talk publicly about politics in America.

Obviously, there was a huge mix of people at the protests. Some of them were people with lots of problems. And they brought those problems with them. And some, I assume, were good people.
