Basically, it's Tucker's job to pin the blame for all these Trump supporters rioting and everything that followed on the Democrats.

BTW, if you watched Tucker's interview last night or read this piece, he is starting to hammer some themes:
- The Capitol Police were unprepared for anything other than a protest.
I thought that's all it was? That's all I hear from apologists, that it was a mostly peaceful gathering of minds.
- Because of intelligence assets within several groups at the rally, there was prior knowledge that things might turn violent.
I thought the only violence being perpetrated was by the Capitol Police? I heard that somewhere.
- Pelosi's office did not warn Capitol Police, or if they did, it was ignored. Which is true? Or possibly even worse, did the FBI and other government agencies purposely neglect to inform Pelosi?
Since it was such a peaceful protest where only the Capitol Police engaged in any violence, I'm surprised they talked about it at all.
- Sentencing has been vindictive. For example, the Shaman was sentenced to four years.
4 years for interfering with a presidential election is vindictive? I guess if you consider it a mostly peaceful protest in which the only violence was perpetrated by the Capitol Police.
- The January 6 Committee was nothing but political theater, editing tapes, adding inappropriate sound, etc., and essentially lied to the American people.
Well, yeah, it's Congress.

Yeah, when Kennedy visited Dallas, they rarely show the video of most of the crowd not shooting at him. Biased reporting.
From Day 1, from what I saw there were at least three groups of people - the very motivated to do some hell raising-possibly more, those who thought it would be cool to be where something big was happening, and tourists who saw an opportunity to look around.
While I was horrified at the visuals, I also felt sorry for people who were going to get into a bunch of trouble for what some felt was a patriotic retaking of the democratic process, some saw as a demonstration and some as pure tourism.

There are lies, damn lies and statistics. At least you didn't refute with a statistic.
Even Tucker, admittedly biased, has never said this was a peaceful meeting of the minds, so I really don't know if you actually heard that or invented it out of whole clot. What has been said, repeatedly, is that Trump told the crowd to protest peacefully.
I also wonder about the total lack of curiosity about whether the government, or assets of the government, helped egg on the crowd and created the riot. Epps has become a classic example...He's now shown to be on tape, but he was not arrested or charged...Primarily because it's common knowledge (but as yet unprovable) that he was a government informant.
Maybe the hate or TDS is so strong within much of the population, they simply do not care about dirty deeds or manipulation or denial of evidence in something they have deemed the worst episode in America since Pearl Harbor. Nobody cares about equal justice under the law, people's rights (after all they're
JewsMAGAts). No, nothing matters except a burning desire to punish, cancel or kill (if they could), those people who do not agree with them politically.I understand arresting people and prosecuting them for violations of Federal law. I do not understand sentencing people in a most unfair manner, or using the power of the government to commit lawfare until an individual's resources are depleted and the outcome of a prosecution is assured.

Show me where exactly he did anything to try to prevent more outrage from his base. And then let's compare that to everything he said and did to try ginning it up.
I'm not interested in playing word games and bad-faith interpretations, he made the outrage worse and that was clearly his intent. Plenty of conservatives who disliked the outcome of the election can clearly see that.

I personally don't give a shit because it's not anything new.

It doesn't detract from the fact that the crowd had a choice to not, you know, disrupt a presidential election and make our democracy an international laughing stock.

Funny how the ones who said fuck this and went home weren't even charged with anything.

Why should he? It was a political rally, with the express purpose of trying to put pressure on Congress. I think Trump would have been delighted if 200,000 people would have marched on the Capitol, waiving signs and chanting slogans.
There's a problem with political expression in America? Or only that expression that is allowed?

Oh, but that is a BFD. What if those firestarters were acting on the instructions of their handlers? What if those firestarters were actually Federal agents? And why do you give Shaman four years in prison and let Epps walk?

Bad argument. He successfully antagonized their outrage, and then the outraged crowd expressed their outrage by attacking Capitol Police officers, breaking into the Capitol and disrupting a presidential election.
That has nothing to do with whether or not it's legal to talk publicly about politics in America.

One doesn't have to do with the other. Yeah, that Qanon dipshit should spend many years in prison.

All you're focused on is what the bad liberals did in response to an incident that never had to happen in the first place, if MAGA nutters hadn't broken the law.

I remember a number of people here saying the Proud Boys were just a great bunch of guys.
Well, they fucking weren't a great bunch of guys.
You can go on about FBI plots and lack of security all day, but it doesn't make them into a great bunch of guys, any more than it makes Alex Jones into a truth-teller.

Kinda hard to do, when Ax's unbiased committee would release no video or ask any pertinent questions.
I have higher hopes for the GOP led committee...Which, BTW, let the Dems pretty much seat their own members (with a few exceptions, such as Schiff-fer-brains), instead of cherry-picking.

Do tell...No, and I didn't imply that anywhere. I'm just pointing out that what was being said about those particular folk was way off-base.
Obviously, there was a huge mix of people at the protests. Some of them were people with lots of problems. And they brought those problems with them. And some, I assume, were good people.

The gay community has already appropriated the word "proud". Add "boys" to it, and the phrase all but sashays.
