While coaching basketball and soccer (a long, long time ago), this was a big racist problem.

Hair a few feet long, full of beads, was a powerful weapon.

I assume the problem is worse today, and I assume the rules are more liberal.

Buy a football helmet, take the front piece off.

Hockey helmet should work as well.

A short hair cut would solve the problem entirely. Want to ride a horse, then get a haircut.
