      Told y'all just yesterday, Trump believes he was cheated. Deeply, fervently.

      It's not an act.

        By and large, people do believe their own bullshit.

          @Jolly

          I have no doubt whatsoever that in Trump’s mind it is inconceivable that he could have lost the election. Hence his belief that he was cheated.

          That does not prove him right. Nor does his behaviour. The facts say the opposite.

            The facts are murky and subject to debate.

                Yeah, I'm sure we've all worked with people with personalities like his, it's a common feature.

                        Hillary believed exactly the same thing on election night.

                        And she still believes it now.

                        And on election night she encouraged Mr. Biden to believe it too, just in case.

                        There was no way she could lose. It was obviously fixed.

                        So did Mr. Dewey.

                        But Mr. Trump is entirely different.

                            It’s a fair point that it’s not technically a lie if he truly believes it. But the point of the thread stands.

                                  Quite frankly, I too do believe that he was cheated directly and indirectly. The question is whether or not the direct cheating was enough to throw the election. The fact is that the districts in Philadelphia that cost him PA have election clerks jailed every 3 to 4 years for fraud, and the same does hold true in Atlanta.

                                  Indirectly, you have all of the steps taken by Democratic executives to expand early voting and the lack of verification protocols beyond all reasonable limits…

                                    That theory seems to be complicated by the fact that Trump won a larger share of the vote in Philadelphia in 2020 than he did in 2016. He even picked up a third ward.

                                    He lost ground in the suburbs. Like the polling said he was going to.
