Many women can be insecure about their looks. To be fair, some guys can, too.

What do the AI filters do to the mind of an insecure person?

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

We already have photo filters that take years off. It probably contributes to the phenomenon where by women compare an idealized version of their friends with their actual imperfect selves.

Men too, but to a much lesser degree and generally with different status markers. .

      Only non-witches get due process.

Eh … maybe the men compare the idealized versions of their friends’ wives to their own wives?

There was a recent study I was reading about that talked about the increase in mental health problems with young people (teen agers and young adults). The study said that the increase was seen starting in 2012(?), which was when the iPhone 4 was released and was the first phone with two cameras, including one that faced you, and allowed "selfies".
