Or stream prerecorded music. I doubt any of the artists will bother to expressly forbid such streaming (or, for that matter, play from a CD/record/MP3 player).

Maybe it’s just scheduling conflict. I think it’s actually a good thing for performing artists to keep their commitments to their families, friends, and fans rather than to drop them just to perform for a royal.
