Looks like James O’Keefe is in trouble.
From the PV board:
Here are a few examples of what has been uncovered so far by PV Leadership (this is far from an exhaustive list, it is merely a small representative sample):
-$14,000 on a charter flight to meet someone to fix his boat under the guise of meeting with a donor
-$60,000 in losses by putting together dance events such as Project Veritas Experience
-Over $150,000 in Black Cars in the last 18 months
-Thousands of dollars spent on DJ and other equipment for personal use
-Hundreds of other acts of personal inurement

Apparently his CFO caught him with his hands in the till so James fired the guy.
James also left us no choice but to suspend him in the last few weeks when he unilaterally fired the CFO, who can only be fired with Board approval. That is a violation of our non-profit's bylaws. James went as far as to say that a Board member had approved this firing to others, but it was later discovered that it was not the case. That member did not approve the firing. The Board approved James' suspension so it would have time to properly investigate these internal infractions.

This story's been bubbling along for a few days. O'Keefe has been defiant, and put out a video claiming that this was a capricious firing, etc.
If the board can document these things, and I don't doubt they can, it's bad for O'Keefe.

At the very least he’ll face tax charges, but probably some more fraud-like charges too.

Yeah, he’s really torching the place as he leaves. A Trumpian display of ego over cause.

I never had a sense of any single personality behind Veritas. But I never followed it much.

Really? It seemed to me like it was him and only him. But I only paid attention it when it made the news, and he was always the face of that,

Maybe it's closer to say I didn't follow Veritas at all, except as it intersected with links here. I wouldn't have been able to pick o'keefe out of a lineup, and I would have needed multiple choice to name the person behind Veritas.

Sad to see that happen. Money and opportunity are a powerful combination that is difficult to not abuse.
Now which of their dozens of exposes are invalidated now?

The saddest part is that it's not clear he is aware of the douchebaggery.
