I just got an email from corporate that a lawsuit was filed against my company by an ex-employee in 2022, alleging the company did not reimburse for remote work expenses during COVID. That suit was settled, and the company is voluntarily giving some money to all remote employees for the period in question, which was two years, from 2020 to 2022. Not sure how much I'll get. I will be receiving a letter in the mail with details. Anybody know if it's possible to search lawsuits? Are they public record? I'm very curious who filed this suit.

I just became aware that the company will reimburse me $45/month for internet, as a remote employee. I wasn't planning on taking them up on it. Feels sort of cheap, and my dignity is worth at least $100/month.

    Education is extremely important.

@Horace did you ever feel unsafe, or discriminated against?

If so, you might score a little extra.

            Are Wisconsans a protected group?

But seriously, did any of these people only have an internet connection for work? Please….

I approve of your approach, Horace.

Great… Are they adjusting for the mileage and fuel savings by not traveling to work?

I got my class action settlement letter. For my 24 months of employment during the class period, I will receive $95. Or I can opt out. But to do so, I'll have to read the fine print about how. Not sure I'm up to it. Also got the name of the plaintiff. Never met her. Someone in marketing. Name actually sounds a little like Karen.
