So did men. This is from the 1970s.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

The ones who were smoking are probably dead now.

      Education is extremely important.

My father would never leave the house to go the grocery store on Saturdays or really anywhere in public, without shaving, putting on a clean shirt and tie and a sports coat. My cousin tells me that his older brother was the same way. As near as I can tell it was something they learned from their father and uncles. Didn’t have to be stylish but you had to look neat and presentable.

        Elbows up!

          Men did, too.

            I think we've lost something...

Racism is worse now than it's ever been.

If it wasn't so, they couldn't print it. Or broadcast it.

So as we look back in time racism gets better.

Its relationship to social status, shame, and disgust sure does flip. The group these days that shares most in common culturally with the slave owners back then, are the high status woke crowd.
