I did not start it with high expectation. It’s not a blockbuster, there is no big name cast, no big budget, no big name production team. But it turned out to be a very good, heart warming, very human story.

Can't do HTML5 video, Ax.
Pretend you’re going to “quote” my post. Then you can see the URL to the YouTube movie. Copy that out and paste into your browser and you can watch it off YouTube’s website.
I actually looked for ways to post YouTube links as links rather as embedded video, but that’s not possible with the YouTube URL plugin that we use with this site.

Low tech solution: use a URL shortener.

True to the title, it’s about a couple of middle class high schoolers having sex for the first time. It’s PG-13, so nothing risqué. It’s neither romance nor romantic comedy, so nothing cheesy. It’s not raunchy teenage comedy, so nothing stupid or crazy. Heck, it does not even try to be “edgy” or “overly clever”. It’s pretty down-to-earth telling of the story of young love, passionate yet confusing and very much imperfect, but ultimately upbeat young love.

Yeah, it looked cool, but I kind of hate these talks where math is presented as a kind of beautiful mystery, where the focus is only on the "visuals" and not even an attempt is made to explain what is going on. It presents a very inaccurate picture of what math is about.

YEs and no I agree. I have seen presentations like this that focus on nature and math in nature, and how math concepts show up in nature where it cannot be "manipulated". For me, this is kind of the same talk.

One of the world’s most famous classical concert pianists plays one of the world’s most famous piano repertoire by one of the world’s most famous composers on one of the world’s most famous acoustic piano. What’s not to like?
Link to videoLame or cool? You be the judge.

I believe this one was sponsored/commissioned by a food company, but a very good, very funny video nonetheless:

What accent is that? And why are they speaking English?
Think people of Chinese descent in former British colonies like Singapore/Malaysia; this explains the English speaking. Most likely they grew up in Cantonese speaking communities that also influenced their accent.
