I don’t know why you can’t find anything. The story is is at the top of virtually every news source in this country since around 2:30 pm MDT Saturday afternoon.

In the meantime try this link to start:

So, we've had 3 flyovers in less than 10 days.

Is this something unusual, or is it just now being publicized because of the balloon popped last Saturday?

Something tells me it's the latter. I would be surprised if China whoever is deploying these things all of a sudden.

Just speculating … if no fly-over object ever got publicized, North America can know about them, strategically feed them with misinformation, and let the fly-over objects carry bad intelligence back to their operator(s). But once one such fly-over object is publicized, the adversaries know that you know and this sort of counterintelligence tactics won’t work anymore, you might as well just neutralize the fly-over objects.

                Some things I've heard mentioned...

                1. The objects are to verify prevailing wind patterns, to be used for planning biowarfare.
                2. The objects are used in conjunction with spy satellites to gage response - time, assets used, where those assets come from, chain of communication after contact, and HUMINT, such as the response of the President and the American people.

                  🤷

All I was finding at the time was Canadian reporting on what the balloon and the U.S. were doing, nothing on Canada's own response.

                  Thanks for the link.

                  Please love yourself.

Why didn't Canada shoot it down?

Wiki says Canada has only 98 combat aircraft in service. How many are flight ready on a moment's notice?

                        https://www.newsweek.com/china-says-spotted-unidentified-flying-object-ufo-1780648

Chinese authorities are reportedly preparing to shoot down an "unidentified flying object" spotted in the skies near the eastern Shandong Province.

Maritime authorities announced on Sunday that the object was spotted near the city in Rizhao, according to the state-run Global Times newspaper.

The newspaper said authorities were preparing to shoot the object down, and were urging fishermen in the vicinity to be safe.

It comes after U.S. F-22 fighter jets shot down three objects in the airspace above the U.S. and Canada this month.

Closest CAF airbases with F-18s to Yukon are just north of where I live CFB Cold Lake and another base at Comox on Vancouver Island. Object closer to USAF’s Eielson near Fairbanks.
