My gut was to just dump it. A donation isn't really of any benefit to me, and it's just a PITA for whomever takes it. THey'll find it as horrible as I do.

    Mrs. George suggested sale, but...nah.

I would reach out to a local digital technician to see if they wanted it for parts.

        Please don’t donate it.

Excellent idea. I got in touch with a couple of them asking about repairs. Obviously, it's not worth repairing. But, this might be a good idea.

            No one wants it, LOL.

I might consider "parting it out" for sale on eBay.

FB marketplace or OfferUp? I've had success with both though if its truly non-playable, then that makes it a challenge. We can fit it in the back of the Subaru and leave it on someone's lawn that you don't like.

Well, I can play it, but I just can't PLAY it. C5 sticks, as does Eb5.

Every time you you hit a key, it goes "klackety-klackety-klack."

I might give it a week, or three, once I replace it. It'll be banished to Sidney's room for that time.

But, I'm not hopeful, or optimistic.

Not worth the time and effort. What floor is your Condo on?

@LuFins-Dad 2nd floor. Taking it apart and putting it in the trash room is not a problem. D2 disassembled it and hauled it from the Cheddarshack to here in her Jeep.

I might have to pay a bit extra for "large item" hauling with our garbage service.

OTOH, our town has an electronics recycling site where the upper part might end up going.

Before you take it apart, do you have a friend on the 4th floor? And do they have a balcony?

Hmmm, any chance that awning can be retracted? I’m not sure that you could clear it…

@LuFins-Dad you’re looking at the west side of the building. The 4th floor balcony also faces the alley to the North.

                            No awning there!
